Joseph Watrous and Bruce Getty are offering a limited number of spots to join them for a 3 night 4 day photo workshop exploring the special hills of the Palouse. May 25th-May 28th. We will shoot sunrises and sunsets at the famous Steptoe Butte, Lone trees, Bucolic barn scenes and so much more. Learn the skills you need to master your exposure and focal techniques. Both Bruce and Joseph are sponsored by filter companies and can teach you a myriad of techniques to expand your photographic skillset. Lodging and transportation will be included in this unique chance to explore the rolling hills of the Palouse. Breakfast is included with our hotel stay in Pullman, Washington. All other food expense is your responsibility. There are very limited spots for this photography adventure. This Workshop includes Hotel stay in Pullman, Washington and transportation from Portland, Oregon to the Palouse..

Locations include:

Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls (Friday morning before we depart for the Palouse)

Steptoe Butte (Sunset - Friday/ Sunrise - Saturday)

Palouse Falls by Moonlight (Saturday or Sunday depending on weather)

Lone Tree (Sunrise - Sunday)

Barn scene #1 or #2 (Sunset - Saturday)

Kamiak Butte (Sunrise Monday)

Canola Fields - Explore Saturday after sunrise

Steptoe Butte (Sunset - Sunday)

Nightphotography ( Abandoned house and moonlit hillsides)

Items Required for this workshop:

Dslr Camera or Medium Format Camera

Wide angle lens or fixed lenses (14-24mm) "suggested"

Med zoom lens or fixed lenses (35-70mm) (the classic photography range)

Telephoto zoom lens or fixed lens ( 70-200mm or even 200-500mm) def need a long range zoom lens to shoot the Palouse 

Sturdy Tripod (this is very important)

At least 4 Camera Batteries and charger.

At least 4 32bg or 64gb or larger memory cards.

Remote shutter release recommended.

At least 4 micro fiber towels or wipes for your lenses.

Comfortable clothing and shoes (hiking boots not required but a good idea)

A warm jacket as the Butte at sunrise can be windy and cold.

Warm gloves

Snacks and drinks for yourself.

A willingness to explore new scenes and push your love of nature photography!
